Soft Echo is made by one person. If something isn’t working, or you have a question or an idea, write directly — every message is read.
There is no account to recover
Soft Echo has no sign-in, no password, and no server. Nothing to reset, and nothing to lock you out.
Backing up your journey
Open Profile and choose Export my journey. You’ll get a file you can keep anywhere you like — it never passes through us.
Moving to a new phone, or starting over
Export your journey first, then use Restore from export on the new device. Deleting the app removes everything stored in it, so export before you delete if you want to keep it.
The daily reminder isn’t arriving
Check that notifications are allowed for Soft Echo in iOS Settings. The reminder is scheduled on your device, so it works with no connection at all.
Privacy policy
The short version
Soft Echo collects no data about you. There are no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.
Your reflections stay on your device
Your reflections, saved sessions, doodles, decks, and daily cards are stored only in the app’s private storage on this device. They are never uploaded, and we have no way to see them.
Your name
If you share your first name during onboarding, it is used only to greet you inside the app. It is stored on your device and nowhere else.
Your photos
When you add a photo to a personal deck, you pick it yourself and a copy is placed in the app’s private storage so your deck works offline. Soft Echo never browses your photo library and never transmits your photos.
No tracking, no ads
The app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking code of any kind, and makes no network connections. Nothing is measured, profiled, or sold.
Reminders
The daily reminder is an optional local notification, scheduled entirely on your device. You can turn it off any time in Profile or in iOS Settings.
Export and backups
Journey export creates a file only when you ask for one, and you choose where it goes — we never receive it. Your data may also be included in your own device backup, under your control like any other app’s data.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app deletes everything in it. If you want to keep your journey, export it first from Profile.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Soft Echo ever changes how your data is handled, this policy will be updated in the same release, and the change will be called out in the update notes.
